The National Weather Service issued a Frost Advisory for Ashtabula and Trumbull counties overnight Friday.
The advisory begins at midnight and extends until 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
Temperatures as cold as 33 degrees are expected, causing frost formation.
Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered, and the NWS suggests taking steps as soon as possible to protect sensitive plants from the cold.
Cold weather will also impact other areas in Northeast Ohio, with overnight temperatures in the upper 30s in the Akron-Canton area and the mid-40s in Cleveland.
