CLEVELAND — The Power of 5 Weather team is tracking light rain Friday afternoon as it moves over Cleveland, Akron and Canton, eventually switching to light snow.
Temps remain above freezing and the ground temperatures are even warmer, so some slushy, wet roads are expected during the evening commute. No major icing is expected.
Temperatures will get closer to freezing overnight but much of the precipitation will be gone by then.
A few slick spots may develop Friday night.
Accumulation should be minor with some spots getting around 1 to 2 inches. Some of that will likely melt away, though.
A few additional snow showers are possible over the weekend with colder temps settling in.
