Jim Carrey's recent ex-girlfriend Cathriona White was found dead Monday night after apparently committing suicide, TMZ reports.
The 28-year-old and Carrey have been dating on and off and broke up on Sept. 24. White reportedly left a note for Carrey referencing the breakup.
White tweeted Sept. 24: "Signing off Twitter,I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. (peace emoji) to [you] all."

Carrey told ET he was "shocked" to learn of White's death and released a statement to several news outlets, including US Weekly:
"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona," the actor, 53, told Us in his statement. "She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
The cause of White's death is under investigation.
