CLEVELAND — The Cleveland APL Pet of the Weekend is an 8-year-old medium hair cat named Max who was given to the shelter after a change in his family.

Max was adopted from the shelter as a kitten and was a bit nervous when he was brought back all these years later. He's adjusted well though and is mild-mannered and affectionate, according to the APL.

"He is a more laid-back cat who enjoys quite time and lounging beside you on the couch as you unwind for the day," the APL said.

Currently, cat adoptions at the APL are all done curbside. There is a 30-day trial adoption period to make sure each animal is a good fit for your home since you can't meet the cats prior to adopting them.
