Dozens of free ways to keep your kids entertained and educated at home

With schools across Ohio closed for at least the next three weeks, we’re going to quickly run out of ways to keep kids entertained and educated while stuck at home.

News 5’s Kelly Hainer has been collecting links to local and national livestreams, virtual museums, virtual classrooms, and more to share with your homebound students over the extended spring break of 2020.

Cleveland Metroparks and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Virtual Classrooms
The Metroparks and the zoo are hosting virtual classrooms on Facebook Live each weekday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. with their biologists and naturalists.

Cincinnati Zoo
The zoo is closed to the public, but will be holding Home Safari Facebook Live sessions weekdays at 3 p.m.

Akron Zoo
The Akron Zoo is offering daily live Lunch and Learn streams on their Facebook page at noon.

Cleveland Ballet
Cleveland Inner City Ballet is launching their first-ever Virtual Online Ballet Instruction Program, free of charge. Check it out on their Facebook page and on their website under Virtual Ballet Instruction.

The Frick
The Frick Pittsburgh are offering seven virtual exhibitions from its various museums.

Paris Museums
The Museums of the City of Paris have online virtual experiences and access to over 300,000 works online.

Virtual Field Trips
A savvy parent compiled a list of over 30 virtual field trips to locations around the solar system, from the Atlanta Zoo to Yellowstone National Park to Mars.

Raddish Kids
The kids cooking club is offering thousands of at-home kids cooking kits to parents who suddenly find themselves homeschooling.

Scholastic Learn at Home has hundreds of free learning activities for all grade levels.
