MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — A second staff member at Fat Head’s Brewery and Beer Hall in Middleburg has tested positive for COVID-19. This comes after the brewery confirmed that on June 25, an employee tested positive for coronavirus.
In a statement, the brewery said the employee’s significant other had recently tested positive, which prompted the staff member to get tested.
The staff member has not worked since July 2. The employee is currently on a paid self-quarantine.
"It appears this is unrelated to our previous staff member who tested positive. To the best of our knowledge, and their knowledge, they did not cross paths with one another," the brewery said in a Facebook post.
Fat Head's said every employee has been trained on COVID-19 and conducts a self-health assessment, including taking body temperatures and confirming they are COVID-19 symptom free prior to starting work.
