CLEVELAND — A second person in attendance at a Trunk or Treat event in Lake County earlier this month has tested positive for COVID-19, the Lake County General Health District reported Wednesday.

Health officials said an individual who attended a Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 11 tested positive for COVID-19. This person had exposure to others with COVID-19, therefore it is unknown where transmission occurred.

There is now a high incidence of COVID-19 in 82 of Ohio’s 88 counties, defined as having 100 or more cases per 100,000 residents reported within the last two weeks.

Lake County remains at a current Red Level 3 on the state’s Public Health Advisory System, with 2,089 cases and 60 deaths reported in the county so far.
