CLEVELAND — Teachers in Northeast Ohio will have it a little easier when it comes to shopping for classroom essentials thanks to local retailer Meijer offering a 15% discount to teachers.
The teacher discount is now available at all Meijer storesthrough Sept. 28.
“We recognize that teachers spend a lot of money out of their own pockets on school supplies, and we hope this offer will help,” said Brandon Pasch, Director of Back-to-School Merchandising for Meijer. “Everyone deserves to enjoy their summers to the fullest, so our ‘all-summer-long’ offer was designed to allow teachers to save whenever is most convenient, and as many times as they like.”
The items available for discount include a wide range of items such as notebooks, Elmer's Glue, crayons, Post-It notes, planner, journals, memo boards, backpacks like JanSport, Nike and Under Armour.
Teachers can stack their "mPerks" rewards with the 15% discount.
To get the discount, teachers can present their current school ID at their local Meijer customer service desk to receive a coupon. Teachers can get repeated discount by obtaining a new one any time they return to Meijer throughout the back-to-school season.
