A funeral service will be held Friday for the two Westerville police officers who were shot and killed in the line of duty over the weekend.
A public visitation will precede the funeral for Officer Anthony Morelli and Officer Eric Joering at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m.
Officer Morelli, who is from Massillon, and Officer Joering were shot while responding to a 911 call. Police said it was not the first time officers were sent to the home. Police had gone to the home three times for domestic disputes since September 2017.

One of Morelli's childhood friends, George Roknich, said the officer was "a great friend to many."
"Tony was a great guy, he was a great teammate, a great classmate, a great friend to many, he had this indestructible force, he’s never going to be defeated, you would be honored to have him as a friend," he said.
