CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 37-year-old Ohio woman was killed in an early morning crash in Wayne County Tuesday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Tabatha Dye, 37, of Shreve, was traveling north on State Route 3 at around 8:45 a.m. when she lost control and traveled into the southbound lanes of State Route 3 in Clinton Township.

Dye was struck on the passenger’s side of her vehicle by a Chevy Trax heading southbound. Both vehicles traveled off the west side of the road of State Route 3, where they came to a rest.

Dye was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County’s Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Chevy Trax was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

According to OSHP, this is the 10th crash in Wayne County in 2020.
