CLEVELAND — The Federal Trade Commission reports that the number one fraud happening right now is in online shopping. In Ohio, it’s a close second.

Some scams cost victims $100 or more, others end up losing thousands. This fraud adds up and is costing consumers millions of dollars.

That's why News 5’s Jonathan Walsh has organized the News 5 Consumer Call Center today from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with representatives from the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Postal Service, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Apprisen, and Cuyahoga County.

These representatives will be answering your questions, responding to your comments and addressing your concerns about scams and other problems surrounding consumer issues, just in time for holiday shopping.

Beginning at 4 p.m., you can call 216-241-7678, until the call center closes at 6:30 p.m.
