HUDSON, Ohio — A 7-year-old child was struck and killed by a car while riding his bicycle in the city of Hudson Saturday.
On Saturday at around 3:30 p.m., Hudson police responded to a crash near 60 West Streetsboro Street/State Route 303.
It was determined a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old woman struck a 7-year-old boy riding a bicycle.
The boy, later identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office as Vincent Baran, 7, of Hudson, died from his injuries.
The Hudson Police Department and the Summit Metro Crash Response Team are investigating the fatal crash.
“Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family,” police said in a statement Monday.
