7 vehicles and a semitrailer involved in a crash on I-277 westbound before Main Street

AKRON, Ohio — Firefighters from the Akron Fire Department were dispatched to a multi-car crash on I-277 westbound before Main Street on Friday.

The crash has closed I-277 westbound between South Main Street and State Route 93.

Akron fire confirmed seven cars and a semi were involved in the crash.

There are no injuries reported at this time.

Towing crews are currently en route.

This crash is separate from the crash that closed all I-77 lanes in both directions.
