An elderly woman was found dead in her home Thursday night.
According to Akron police, an acquaintance found the woman around 8:48 p.m. at her home on Hartford Avenue.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's office declared it was a homicide. They're currently at the scene with the Akron police crime scene unit and police detectives.
