AKRON — The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office and the Akron Police Department are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night, according to a news release.
At around 9:30 p.m., a 32-year-old man was walking in traffic on State Route 8, near Perkins Street when he was struck by a vehicle.
The 32-year-old man was taken to Akron City Hospital, where he later died from his injuries at around 10:07 p.m, authorities said.
Authorities will provide an update once next-of-kin have been notified.
