AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department released video Wednesday that shows a brazen burglary at a jewelry store in Chapel Hill mall that happened earlier this week.
It happened at Gold N Diamonds Jewelry Store on Monday around 1:30 p.m., according to authorities.
The video shows several people walk into the store and start smashing jewelry cases. After breaking the glass, the burglars scoop up handfuls of jewelry and walk off.
Moments later, more people walk in the store, grab some jewelry and then saunter off.
Anyone with information about the individuals shown in the video is asked to call Akron police detectives at 330-375-2464, the APD tip line at 330-375-2TIP or the Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.

The mall's website states that it is closed until further notice "due to looting."
