A local family is desperately searching for an Akron man who vanished weeks ago.
The family came together Saturday to pray for 35-year-old Jasaun Johnson—a Navy veteran who disappeared about a month ago.
Now his sister is leading the effort to find him.
"We have this battle with optimism and reality," said his sister Delrica Grubbs. "Battling it in our heads, hearts and stomachs. We want the word out."
Dozens of volunteers fanned out in his neighborhood with fliers in hand, taking steps to bring him home.
Notes were written with love on his front door, as family and friends hoped he would come home soon to read them for himself.
If you have any information about Johnson's whereabouts, you are asked to call Akron police at 330-375-2552.
