AKRON, Ohio — After a day in the dark following severe weekend storms, power was restored for thousands in Summit County, according to FirstEnergy's website.
More than 3,000 people in Summit County were without power on Monday evening. As of Tuesday morning, 64 people were still without power.
The largest outages were in Akron and Coventry Township.
The estimated restoration time was previously midnight on August 21.
Summit County was hit with strong winds during Sunday's storm which may have caused the outage.
