AKRON, Ohio — Barber Road in Norton is joining other streets in Northeast Ohio that are shutdown after severe weather dumped heavy rain across the News 5 viewing area.

Our StormTracker was met with high water Monday morning after getting off the exit from I-76 westbound to Barber Road.
Norton police have blocked off Barber Road at I-76 due to several inches of water on the road.

A flash flood watch for all of Northeast Ohio has been issued and is in effect until June 18, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning has been issued for Lake, Lorain, Stark, Mahoning, Medina, Huron, Portage, Erie, Cuyahoga, Crawford, Richland, Geauga, Ashtabula, Summit, Trumbull, Ashland and Wayne counties.
