AKRON, Ohio — The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office and the Akron Police Department are investigating the death of a man who was found in the Cuyahoga River on Monday.
Kayakers were in the river looking for an unrelated individual when they found the male in the water with his clothing stuck to some tree branches near the Cascade Valley Metro Park.
The medical examiner said the man was pronounced dead on Monday at around 7:33 p.m.
According to authorities, the body is a 62-year-old man who was reported missing on May 31. His identity has not been released.
