AKRON, Ohio — Middle and high school students at Akron’s I PROMISE program showed up to class with some new kicks, thanks to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
To reward the hard work of the students, the LeBron James Family Foundation brought in more than 800 pairs of Nike Basketball LeBron 16’s for the students to choose from.
Ten different colorways of James’ penultimate signature shoe were brought in so every student could find a pair of shoes they loved.
While the shoes were a reward for the students’ hard work, they were also a motivation for them to continue pushing forward.
