AKRON, Ohio — A man was carjacked while trying to give his daughter and grandson a ride to the hospital Wednesday night in Akron.
Police said at about 11:30 p.m., a 44-year-old man drove to the 900 block of North Main Street to pick up his daughter and grandson. When the man got out of his car in the parking lot, he saw two men who were near the dumpster approach him at gunpoint.
The men demanded he give them his car.
The man complied with their orders and gave them his car keys. The men then drove off in his silver 2007 Suzuki XL7.
After his car was stolen, the man went home and called police the next day, according to the report. At the time of the report, the vehicle has not been located.
