Akron police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot in the buttocks on the city's east side early Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, the shooting happened just after midnight on the 400 block of Chittenden Street, just a few blocks away from Arlington Church of God.
The victim told police he was approached by three men who got out of a Chrysler 300. One of the individuals started shooting at him.
After the victim was shot he laid down in a driveway until the shooter and others fled the area, police said.
The 20-year-old was taken to Akron City Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
