Police looking for 26-year-old man accused of robbing PNC Bank in Akron

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 26-year-old man who police say robbed a bank in Akron Friday afternoon.

An aggravated robbery charge has been filed against Deandre Garrett of Lane Street in Akron.

According to authorities, a man matching Garrett's description entered PNC Bank, 889 West Market St., on Jan. 26 around 3 p.m., passed the teller a note and demanded cash.

Police say the suspect left the bank and was last seen heading southbound on Marvin Avenue.

Garrett stands about 6-foot-1-inches tall and weighs around 145 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 330-375-2490 or the U.S. Marshals Service at 866-4-WANTED.
