AKRON, Ohio — Arrest warrants have been issued for an Akron man and women who allegedly drove into a 41-year-old man then got out and assaulted both him and his girlfriend late Wednesday night.
Crystal L. Moss, 32, and Thomas Mendenhall, 30, have been charged with felonious assault, according to Akron police.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. near South Arlington Street and Jenkins Boulevard.
Authorities said a witness told them that two people were in a black 2008 Saturn car and drove into the 41-year-old man. A man and woman then jumped out of the car and assaulted the victim and his 38-year-old girlfriend.
During the attack, the man was hit in the head with a piece of asphalt, police said. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Moss and Mendenhall were identified as suspects in the assault and warrants were issued for their arrest, authorities said.
According to police, Moss and the male victim were in a fight earlier in the day.
