CANTON, Ohio — The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton is looking for thousands of volunteers for the upcoming enshrinement ceremony in August.

This year marks the 57th class. Hall of Fame officials call the ceremony the “centerpiece of 17 community and national events spread over a two-week period. They put the focus of the football world on Canton, Ohio.”

According to Hall of Fame officials, past events have relied on thousands of volunteers to run them. This year, the Hall of Fame is looking for nearly 5,000 volunteers to staff 30 committees.

Anyone interested in helping out the Hall of Fame as a volunteer can fill out an application form online here. Volunteers act as ambassadors for both the Hall of Fame and the city of Canton, Hall of Fame officials stated.

If you’re curious about what is expected of each volunteer, you can check out last year’s playbook that lays everything out. The playbook is available here.
