One of the men wanted in connection to a murder at an Akron strip club last month has been arrested in South Carolina.
Daymond Hooks, 29, was arrested Saturday evening by the Greenville Police Department after receiving a tip regarding his whereabouts.
Police say Hooks and 32-year-old Jerry Stallings got into an argument inside the club around midnight on Nov. 17 that turned physical. After the fight was broken up, Hooks left the club with friends. Minutes later, Hooks returned to the club with 32-year-old Phillip Key Jr., police said.
As Key tackled Stallings to the ground, Hooks allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired shots, striking Stallings in the chest.
Stallings was pronounced dead at the scene.
