ARKON, Ohio — The Akron Police Department along with the Franklin Police Department in Tennessee are searching for two fugitives from Tennessee who are believed to be hiding out in Akron after they allegedly stole $16,000 worth of new tires from a metal storage container.
Tips from citizens to Tennessee authorities identified the suspects as 45-year-old convicted felon Michael Lewis and 36-year-old Amber Tidwell.
Police believe they may be driving a blue, older model Ford truck with an extended cab anda St. Louis Cardinals sticker on the rear driver’s side window.
Authorities did not specify why Lewis and Tidwell are believed to be in Akron.
Franklin police and Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward for information on their whereabouts. Those with a tip on their whereabouts are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000.
