Akron police are investigating an early morning shooting in the 1100 block of Ericsson Avenue.
According to police a woman was shot in the chest inside an apartment and taken to a local hospital.
Police said the victim was alert and talking when they arrived and don't consider her injuries life-threatening.
While police were investigating ,a man approached the scene to attempt to talk with someone that witnessed the shooting. The man had his hand in a cereal box and began to argue with police.
When police asked him to go to the other side of the street the man pushed an officer and tried to run. Officers quickly grabbed and tackled him to the ground and he was arrested. newsnet5.com cameras captured the arrest after the man was tackled by police.
Police did not comment on what charges the man arrested would face.
