CLEVELAND — Two wanted fugitives were captured by the U.S. Marshals Service Tuesday afternoon.

The suspects, Jannie Pace, 26, and Toriano Williams, 28, were arrested in Cleveland in connection with the death of Porscha Woods, 33, in September 2020, authorities said. According to Cleveland Municipal Court records, both suspects are charged with aggravated murder, a first-degree felony.

Pace was arrested in the 12400 block of Guardian Boulevard, authorities said. Williams was arrested in the 3100 block of East 135th Street—just blocks away from where Woods was killed last year.

In September 2020, Woods called police and reported that there were people outside her home threatening her with a gun. While on the phone with police, gunshots were heard. When officers arrived, they found the woman dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

“Violence in the city of Cleveland and any of its surrounding communities will not be tolerated. Those that commit such violence will be identified and arrested as quick as possible to keep our community members safe from violence such as this,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliot said.
