CLEVELAND — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed after a fight Sunday night in Cleveland, according to a spokesperson for the Cleveland Police Department.

Officers responded to the 3300 block of East 135th Street for a report of shots fired and a male shot.

A 28-year-old man, later identified by the medical examiner as Samuel Bell, was found lying on the ground in a driveway with apparent gunshot wounds to the head and body.

Officers administered first aid until EMS arrived and transported Bell to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

It was later learned that Bell and another man were involved in a fight over a woman which escalated with a 27-year-old man shooting the victim.

Another woman, identified as the victim's 25-year-old niece, is believed to have shot the 27-year-old man in retaliation before he was arrested, police said.
