3 people transported to hospital for smoke inhalation after apartment fire on Cleveland's East Side

CLEVELAND — Three people were transported from an apartment high rise for smoke inhalation, according to the Cleveland Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to Willson Towers on East 55th Street on Monday.

The three residents were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation and all are in stable condition, according to Cleveland fire.

The Red Cross also responded to assist displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
