31-year-old man shot Monday night in Cleveland, pronounced dead Tuesday

CLEVELAND — A 31-year-old man was shot and killed on West 85th Street in Cleveland on Monday night, according to Cleveland police.

At about 9:50 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 1400 block of W. 85th St. for a male shot, according to a news release from Cleveland police. On arrival, the victim was found on the front porch of a home with residents providing first aid. Officers provided further first aid until EMS arrived and took the victim to MetroHealth.

Residents told police they heard shots fired, then found the victim on the porch bleeding. Residents reported seeing an unknown man fleeing the area.

The victim was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

No arrests have been made. Homicide detectives are investigating, and anyone with information is asked to call 216-623-5464. Information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers at 216-25-CRIME.
