Woman, 33, killed in CLE hit-skip on Christmas

Police are looking for the driver who caused a Christmas Day car crash that left a 33-year-old woman dead. 

According to police, the woman was the passenger in a 2000 Buick LeSabre that was heading north on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard just before 2:55 a.m. when a man driving a Chevy Impala ran a red light, striking the Buick. 

Police said the man driving the Chevy was speeding before the crash.

The Buick went off the road, hitting a steel traffic pole and then a tree. 

The Impala came to a rest against two utility poles. The driver got out of the car and fled on foot.

Both the male driver and the female passenger were transported to University Hospital. 

The 33-year-old woman, identified as Classie Fryer, died at the hospital. The 32-year-old man suffered severe injuries.
