34-year-old man shot and killed in Cleveland, police asking for tips

CLEVELAND — Cleveland homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was shot Tuesday afternoon in the city’s Garden Valley neighborhood.

According to police, the shooting happened around 4:20 p.m. in the 7800 block of Garden Valley Avenue.

Authorities found the victim, later identified as a 34-year-old man, slumped against a building. It appears he had been shot multiple times. Officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived at the scene. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The man’s name has not been released.

Police state that a preliminary investigation indicates that two people in an unknown vehicle shot the man and then drove away.

Authorities haven’t identified any suspects or made any arrests.
