CLEVELAND — A 79-year-old man and his 11-year-old grandson were carjacked at gunpoint in broad daylight on Monday in Cleveland's Old Brooklyn neighborhood.
According to Cleveland police, the incident happened in the 5000 block of Burger Avenue around 2:35 p.m.
Three men armed with handguns approached the grandfather and grandson while the two were standing in the driveway of their home, stole the family's 2013 Chrysler Town and Country and drove off, according to authorities. The license plate of the van is GNY1073.
EMS responded to the scene and checked on the family, police said.
No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been provided. The van has not been recovered.
The carjacking remains under investigation.
