Cleveland State University issued a campus alert after a legally blind student was robbed inside the main campus building on Tuesday.
The victim told police that the man took his book bag and forcibly removed his cell phone from his pocket.
A security camera captured footage of the man.
Campus police described the suspect has a black male in his late teens standing about 5-foot-9 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, brown Timberland boots with black soles, a black and white knitted hat and a dark leather jacket.
The student was not injured in the robbery.
