Newly acquired body camera footage shows the tense moments that led up to the capture of a psychiatric patient who escaped from a local hospital in Cleveland and allegedly boosted a car with a toddler inside.

The video shows the 16-month-old's father come into a police station and tell officers a man took his vehicle and child after he got out of the car to shut his garage door.

Police eventually found the suspect — Travis Lee Burke, 23, a few miles away near East 55th Street and Superior Avenue. Burke fled from officers on foot. After a short chase and scuffle, Burke was taken into custody. The child was reunited with the family.

Police say a handgun was later found inside the stolen car.
