A 16-year-old boy was shot in the face on Lorain Avenue Tuesday.
Cleveland police were called around 5:30 p.m. to the area of West 73rd Street and Lorain Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Officers assisted with first aid until EMS crews arrived. The victim was then transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in unknown condition.
The boy's friend said a small group of people had just walked out of the Convenient Food Market in the area when a man on a bicycle started firing in their direction.
The 16-year-old was the only person hit. He was not able to give a statement to police because of his injuries.
The only description given to police was a black male with a dark hooded sweatshirt.
