It's been a rough week for police officers across the country after an ambush shooting that left five officers dead and seven others injured in Dallas.
Since the Thursday shooting, police departments nationally have received threats of violence.
But some Cleveland children set up a stand on the city's west side Sunday to show our local officers that they are appreciated.
The kids gave out free cookies and juice to officers, paramedics and firefighters at the corner of Franklin Blvd and West 75th Street.
A mother of one of the children told newsnet5.com it was the kids' idea.
Several police officers stopped by to hug and play with the children. One officer even gave the kids a police badge.
