CLEVELAND — A Cleveland police officer was taken to a hospital Friday morning after he was hurt while working on I-90 near Downtown.
According to authorities, the 31-year-old officer was working at the scene of two crashes near East 9th Street when another vehicle collided with his patrol car.
The officer was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in stable condition. A 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were also taken to Metro, authorities said. Both of the individuals are in stable condition.
Authorities didn't provide any specifics regarding injuries.
The collision caused a pileup that backed up traffic until the crashes were cleared, authorities said. In total, seven crashes were reported.
