The car connected to the crash has also been towed.
According to police, a 31-year-old woman was crossing Fulton Road within the lines of the crosswalk around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday when a maroon Chrysler LHS turned off Clark Avenue onto Fulton Road, striking the woman.
The driver then pulled into a nearby Marathon gas station, 'briefly' observed the scene and then drove away, according to police.
Police released surveillance video from the gas station Wednesday.
Authorities will release the name of the suspect once charges are filed.
