Cleveland police investigating double homicide on West 54th Street and Storer Avenue

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a double homicide on the city’s West Side Tuesday.

Officers responded just after 1:00 a.m. to West 54th Street and Storer Avenue.

A spokesperson for Cleveland EMS confirmed one man in the driver's seat and one woman in the passenger's seat were found with gunshot wounds.

Officers administered first aid until EMS arrived. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were identified as Stephanie Lee, 29, of Cleveland and Alonszo Lewis, 33, of Cleveland.

Two neighbors said they heard approximately 10 shots outside but didn’t see anything.

Police identified a person as the possible shooter. A handgun and narcotics were found on the person of interest, who is detained at this time.

The homicide remains under investigation.
