CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating a fatal hit-skip crash that occurred Sunday evening.
At around 8:15 p.m., a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on Lakeshore Boulevard and approaching East 156th Street when a Ford Fusion traveling west on Lakeshore Boulevard turned onto East 156th and into the path of the motorcycle, police said.
The 58-year-old operator of the motorcycle was transported to University Hospitals where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Police said the unknown driver of the Ford fled on foot.
Detectives from the Accident Investigation Unit are conducting an investigation into the incident, police said.
