Cleveland police investigating homicide on Scovill Avenue

CLEVELAND — Cleveland police are investigating a homicide in Cleveland early Thursday.

Police responded at 3:30 a.m. to the 5200 block of Scovill Avenue, near East 55th Street.

Police found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the face and a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the lower back. EMS transported both victims to area hospitals.

Police said one of the victims, identified as Maurice Kimmie, 25, of Cleveland, was pronounced dead.

Police said additional details will be released as they become available.
