Cleveland police officer under investigation for allegedly soliciting prostitution

CLEVELAND — A Cleveland police officer is under investigation for allegedly soliciting prostitution, Cleveland police said in a news release Friday.

The officer, who has not been charged, has been placed on restricted duty pending the outcome of the investigation, police said.

The officer is being investigated for multiple counts of soliciting prostitution, the news release said.

The Cleveland Division of Police Internal Affairs Unit is conducting the investigation.

Police said more information will be released if any charges are filed.
