An Uber driver was carjacked at gunpoint while waiting for a passenger on Cleveland's west side Wednesday morning.

The 53-year-old driver told police he was parked near West 57th Street and Memphis Avenue around midnight when a gray Honda with two men inside pulled up in front of him.

The passenger of the Honda approached the Uber driver, pointed a handgun at him and pulled him out of his vehicle, the report said.

The Uber driver ran off on foot.  The suspects took the victim's car.

According to authorities, the Honda was reported stolen earlier from the area of West 44th Street and Clark Avenue. Police said a woman was carjacked when she pulled into a bank parking lot to use an ATM.  A man wearing all black clothing and a bandana on his face approached her car, fired several shots and then ordered her out of the vehicle at gunpoint.

A short time later another man was robbed at gunpoint near the 4170 block of West 50th Street when he was getting into his pickup truck. According to the police report, the victim in that incident was robbed by two men matching the description in the Uber driver robbery.

A detailed suspect description was not available. No arrests have been made.
