A driver is recovering at MetroHealth Medical Center after crashing into a building on St. Clair Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
The crash happened near the corner of Blenheim Avenue and St.Clair the driver had to be cut from the car by Cleveland firefighters.
The traffic lights are out at the intersection of Blenheim Avenue and Hayden Avenue.
The crash sent the traffic control box down the street and toppled a crosswalk sign.
The building suffered some significant damage to a doorway.
Police on scene said only the driver, a 22-year-old woman was believed to have been inside the car and they didn't believe any other cars were involved.
A tow truck was working to clear the scene around 5 a.m.
