Meet the newest member of the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL) family. They've named him Indiana Bones, and he's a one-year-old bully-breed mix.

A witness told the APL they saw a group of three young men taking turns beating the injured animal on East 111th and Superior.

The vets who've examined Indiana Bones say he was hit by a car before being terribly abused: hit with sticks and bricks. Now he needs treatment and surgery.

"This is upsetting. We see so much. And I just can't imagine what it takes for three young people to decide it's ok to beat an injured animal," said Sharon Harvey, the APL's CEO. "So we would like to find these people and make sure they get punishment warranted by the law. That is animal abuse,"

APL Investigators are looking for those three young men responsible.

If you have any information that could help the APL investigators, who are looking into this case, you can call 216-377-1630.

According to the Cleveland APL: "A $500 reward is being offered to the first person who provides information that leads to the apprehension of a prosecutable suspect."
