CLEVELAND — A man wanted for the death of a 40-year-old last month in Cleveland was arrested by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force Wednesday morning.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, James Jackson, 31, was arrested in the 3600 block of East 54th Street in Cleveland’s Fleet neighborhood. Police found a handgun at the residence where Jackson was arrested.
Authorities say that on Nov. 14, Jackson allegedly tried to push his way into an apartment in the 1500 block of Ansel Road. During a struggle, Omar Crosby, 40, was shot in the chest and later died. Another man who was in the apartment was also shot.
“Our task force will continue to work closely with Cleveland Homicide Detectives and as soon as identification is made on a homicide suspect the NOVFTF will be ready to go to work to get these violent criminals off the streets.”
